North Christian County Kentucky Buck

2011 North Christian County Kentuckyy Buck with pictures

This 10 point buck had been rutting hard and broke several tines while fighting. He was chasing 4 doe's when I was able to get a shot.  This was the biggest body weight deer I had ever been around.  It was a real back breaker trying to get him loaded on the Rhino.

This deer weighted in at close to 300lbs.

We had hot weather all week then it turned out cold on the morning I took this buck.  We drove through snow flurries on the way to the farm.  The grass in the field below was covered in ice. It turned out to be a perfect morning for me and I'll never forget it.

Ice covered field.

My stand was in the end of this cove straight ahead in the photo above.  We killed 4 deer in 2011.  My brother Leo Byrd and his son Chase Byrd took their first Kentucky bucks on this trip.
